Details
The British Library has an unrivalled sound and newspaper archive, as well as of course its vast collection of books, manuscripts and other material. To make best use of this rich collection, the Library is developing the concept of a Digital Centre which will fulfil its overarching vision to be a worldwide centre offering access to a unique and extensive digital and print resource. It also hopes to attract new and different audiences so that it remains a popular and current resource.
The Centre will be in a new building that is a creative, flexible and dynamic space for researchers, designers and entrepreneurs to access and ‘mesh’ different digital media. It will also be a social space, enabling users of all ages to network, learn and research collaboratively.
